Gender diversity in the sports industry has a problem. The tech industry does too. Combine them into Sport Tech roles? It’s even worse, where over 75% of roles are held by men. TeamViewer wanted to be part of the solution and asked us to figure out how.

We knew we needed to break down barriers to inspire women to pivot—confidence, awareness, and inspiration.

Our guiding insight was clear: women needed SportsTech role models to look up to, to inspire them and give them confidence to pursue a career intech. Because you can’t be what you can’t see.

Partnering with Man Utd and Mercedes F1, we created SheSportTech, a campaign that juxtaposed star players with incredible women working behind the scenes. These playful illustrations of togetherness highlighted the emotional benefits of working for a sports team while casting a spotlight on a variety of sports tech roles.

The results are still coming in, but we reached our target sign-ups within 72 hours of the campaign going live, with nearly three months of the campaign still to run.

During the shoot we worked alongside the Man Utd content team, who were fantastic allies in bringing the campaign to life.

They filmed BTS and interviews with role models, going live across Man Utd social channels and dove-tailing nicely with our TeamViewer led content.
