Our reactive campaign used exclusive UEL content to shine a light on the epic in-game moments when the action is dialled up to 11 and the players go into overdrive.
This content was a celebration of the challenger spirit that makes the UEL unique. An end-to-end football tournament with attitude.
By creating the phrase ‘Gone Europa’ and using it to badge these incredible moments of skill, we wanted make the Europa League synonymous with thrilling football moments.
Using reactive, meme-inspired animations we were able to feed football fans fresh footage from Thursday night's games in a distinctively UEL way.
The 'Gone Europa Trophies', A much-loved component to this idea, was unfortunately dropped at the last minute.
These awards would have been given to players throughout the tournament to celebrate individual moments of skill.
Each award was given an unexpected name like ‘Meteor Strike’ that helped to position the UEL in a different light.
Highlights footage from each moment would be used to create short videos to bring to life the title of each award.
Custom 3D printed trophies would be given to the players that had ‘Gone Europa', creating additional content for social and PR.
